TITLE: Laborer - Grain
COMPANY: New Horizons - CHS
DEPARTMENT: Country Operations
LOCATION: Herman, Morris, and Chokio, MN
Position Overview:
New Horizons has opportunities in our Ag Business Division located in Herman and Morris, MN. The incumbent will assist patrons in a professional manner and promote a positive image of the coop.
Responsibilities:
• Work with patrons in a courteous and professional manner
• Load railcars in a timely manner as they come into the coop
• Load and Unload grain from trucks
• General work around the facility
• Monitor and maintain quality of the inventory
• Perform housekeeping inside and outside of all facilities
• Complete all safety reports and required record keeping
• Follow all company policies and procedures
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Competencies:
Incumbent must have the ability to adapt, think and make decisions quickly.
Incumbent must have a pleasant attitude, helpful, and customer focused.
Basic Qualifications:
• High School diploma or GED
• Ability to lift 75 lbs and climb rail cars, ladders, stairs and bins
• Ability to work long hours
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen
• CDL or ability to obtain with HAZMAT endorsement
• Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures
• Ability to operate loaders, conveyors, and tractors
Preferred Qualifications:
• Elevator experience
• Farming background
• Grain handling experience
